Touring on and off for the past few weeks, Portland, and as far south as San Diego and it has been back and forth. The five pieces on the record release party for their new EP, 10 In, Lost, Friday, February 14 (valentine's day!), With a free celebration for Seattle before returning to Oregon to be hit, that first of all ages show (5pm ) kicks back bindery.

We are only a few days before the start of this tour, we drive a van exploded, so that sucks. We had our first show was canceled. These people [berg Radin, guitar], a child from a burning vehicle to retrieve it. We have the most horrific car accident in Los Angeles, I've never seen outside of a witness. The silver car that went to the gas station and car clipped the blue truck was silver. The whole front of the car and tore off the air ten feet of air, flipped, and it rolled three times and the car clipped another car and flipped. We've never seen it, was the most gnarly crash.
You guys have seen this all going down? Are you driving when this happened?
No, we are hanging out of gas, at a time can get some drinks. And when it is in the right and Bim [Ditson, drummer] has been robbed. I see them running across the highway, and I guess he pulled the car out strong. And one of the children, "Who you are?" And he said, "I'm your mother!" It was really bad, but I got out of the car, the children made up the backs of a discrete, very minor injuries.
It's wild! Good start to the tour! So, before the tour started, all new music, has been in the works right?
We have a bunch of new music and a full-length work. We only have a small album, four songs recorded, we will is 7 inches on the key.
And it is different than your most recent 10 In Lost?

It's a very dark, and ... It is a step up for us, we just really proud of it! This was a direction that we really wanted to go. But the Portland, we had just released a 10 In. 10 - In our first vinyl, we recorded last spring with Eric [Earley] and Michael [VanPelt] and Blitzen trapper.

They actually produce it, and they do not have a lot to do. A couple of our first album we recorded ourselves.

Band went through a pretty drastic change when Tyler moved on. And we do this kind of reform inside - out. It is like a rebirth, we are more together. I think part of it with a more collaborative, Nathan wrote many songs of the bones, and we fill it, and that is all to be in Tyler. This is so, we wrote that we wanted to do our own part of the

When you work in your studio to adapt it to the live show, it's a seamless process that is putting together?
This is the opposite type. We really enjoy our live shows and recording process has been captured, it is not really up to us as long as you do not. And now, we have a studio where we all live together, and you can record and then we also can not dress overlay. But what are some of the main burst to capture the live essence.
So, does that really come out in EP What are you doing?
It will be the new 7 In. I mean, it's a lot of the songs we play have been for quite some time. This is reflected in our live activity because they are really just how we play them live. For example, "a song that he is," the new album and it is better off to stay with the plant. And it is a difference between night and day.

For this tour, you come to Portland from the Doug fir will be at 18 now. What are your upcoming shows in your audience can expect new music?
It "bone" is not going to be rock. I'm really excited about this game, it really does not energize. It is our longest break from the game in the history of Portland, it is never closed. So, it sounds good to come back and Doug fir, where the game will be super fun.
When playing live, you guys do not want to leave room for improv?
We want to be short and sweet, most of the time. It is from this point. There is very little improvisation. Ryan [Wiggans] and in the mountains a couple of developments have lead guitar, and Ryan intricate guitar, trumpet, and not a lot of useful work. So some of that stuff is excellent at free - form, but extended solos or improvise any kind of clothes you have. We are only a small enter structured pop songs. We have to keep living.
When the music did not start with your sons?
Berg: I am a part of my house and it is not, but I grew up with Guitars. But I think I would have been when I got the bass guitar can get, and I have a bunch of dudes that let me play with John Mayer to meet the ... I was, I lost interest again. And when I'm hanging out with Nathan and Ryan, I am interested in more material to work with. We started making a really nasty little things pop. In fact, I did not until my 20s. Nathan, Ryan, Eugene, and myself started a band. That's a big learning process for me. I was just learning how to play the keyboard - I have only played around with black or white keys.
Bim: I was born. My mother was a music therapist and a flute major, I was home-schooled. I was growing up playing instruments. When you are in my family of five, you can select a device, and then you play it. It was all classical and Celtic traditional. So, I always had to eat it. Punk rock, and then I fill in, and the sons. My rebellion to get a drum set and smash shit out of it.
Nathan: Ryan, John, and myself all pulled together and played together on the coast in a few bands. It took a few years ago, we are really in it.
With different backgrounds was a lot of your music to go with the leadership, it is hard to choose?
This is not really difficult, I think. We take a long time and I appreciate the songs for the composer as well. And then, we are really different skills levels. What works and what doesn't-we all seem to agree. I think it is, we all have our own role, and we know that each and respect. There is no bickering over it. We are really lucky because we have each other all along. How can I make a song once or twice - may be, can not remember having a disagreement.
We do the same with the other guys were filmed. Doug fir will be on display at the same time as the video coming out, so it will be a premiere. It is for the songs "I want more alcohol." Crazy video of a weird shot. "It's no wonder" was even a student project.
Since you guys started, you have to get your music and the biggest challenge has been to build an audience?
We had two weeks to three hundred years, and it was tedious and expensive - to do all that work just plugging up. It fit together pretty well in all types, but we only know the hours of work, you know, the one with a guarantee of any Prize. This is your life and take over all the time. It is a girlfriend - is like having an extra friend. And because this is really attractive women that you want to talk to you again, do not always trace it to a friend, if you're a van, you can. It is like the Super Mario game, in a band. You can win it, but you just do not - you're not win you can play again. It's fun, and it takes over your life, and then you 30.
