When Portland’s Laura Gibson takes the stage at Music Millennium tonight at 6pm for her in-store performance, she’ll be facing four cameras belonging to Stumptown Bliss, a video company that broadcasts concerts live on the internet. You could always catch her live, in person at Music Millenium for free, but if you’re tied up late at work or otherwise occupied, pull up this page and watch her live on OMN. And if that still doesn’t work, you can stream the full performance in the days following on OMN.
OMN has been bringing you audio of the Music Millennium in-store shows on our home page for nearly two years, but it’s time to take that experience to the next level. Now we’ll have a professional, four-camera video of some of the best, most intimate shows of the month, live from Music Millennium. Plus, OMN will be interviewing the artists following their set.
The live stream will kick in 15 minutes before showtime (which is 6pm) when Gibson takes the stage to share tracks from her new full-length, solo record, La Grande. But until then watch Alicia J. Rose’s wonderfully spooky music video for the first single, also named “La Grande,” (plus read more about the making of here) and read Katie Shaw’s review of the album, which ”is filled with a strange new energy.”
